Who this policy covers
This website and application are owned and operated by Little Elephant Inc. Parrivo is an online vocabulary, reading, writing, review, and quiz practice service set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian for their child.
- A parent or legal guardian must create and own the account, agree to the applicable Terms of Service, consent to the child-data practices described in this notice during account creation, and supervise the child's use.
- If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child created an account without proper permission, contact Little Elephant Inc. at admin@parrivo.com.
- The initial Parrivo service provides one private family learning profile per parent-owned account and does not provide public child profiles.

Information we collect
Little Elephant Inc. collects information needed to create accounts, provide Parrivo learning activities, secure the service, and support subscriptions.
- Parent account details such as email, optional email-verification status, account status, policy and guardian confirmation records, and password credentials when email signup is used, plus a username, display name, avatar, and grade level used for the private learning profile.
- Learning data such as enrolled units, completed activities, XP, streaks, quiz attempts, answers, writing responses, drafts, and progress.
- Technical data such as device/browser information, IP address, session data, client error reports, security events, and support messages.
Google sign-in
If you use Continue with Google, Parrivo uses Google Identity Services to verify your account and create or connect your Parrivo account.
- We may receive your Google account subject identifier, email address, email verification status, name, and profile image if Google provides it.
- We use the Google subject identifier as the stable login ID and may store it with your Parrivo user record.
- Parrivo does not store a Google access token and does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Classroom, or other Google APIs for this login feature.
How we use information
Little Elephant Inc. uses information only for the purposes needed to provide, secure, support, and administer Parrivo.
- Provide vocabulary, spelling, reading, writing, review games, assessments, progress tracking, and account access.
- Personalize grade-level practice, remember learning state, detect account issues, and respond to support requests.
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, debug errors, maintain service reliability, process subscriptions, and communicate about account or service changes.
- Parrivo does not use student writing, answers, or learning records for advertising or to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Student content
Students may submit answers, sentences, writing responses, quiz responses, and comments while using Parrivo.
- Student content is processed to provide feedback, scoring, moderation, progress tracking, and product support.
- Students should not submit private personal details, payment information, passwords, addresses, phone numbers, or sensitive information in learning responses.
- Student writing and comments are private to the account and are not displayed to other learners or on a public leaderboard, profile, gallery, or community feed.
- Authorized Parrivo personnel and service providers may access submitted content only as needed for moderation, support, security, service operation, and legal compliance.
Billing information
Parrivo uses Apple for purchases made through the iOS or iPadOS app and Stripe for eligible purchases made through Parrivo's website.
- Apple may process Apple Account, payment, transaction, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and refund information under Apple's privacy practices. Parrivo may store App Store product IDs, transaction IDs, original transaction IDs, subscription status, renewal status, expiration dates, and server-notification records.
- Stripe may process card and payment details for website purchases under Stripe's privacy practices. Parrivo does not store full card numbers and may store Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan status, renewal status, cancellation status, invoice metadata, and billing event records.
- Parrivo associates subscription access with a stable internal account identifier and, for App Store transactions, an app account token. Email is billing contact information and is not the subscription ownership key.
- Billing support requests may include account contact information, plan, subscription status, and transaction context.
Cookies, storage, and security tools
Parrivo uses browser storage and security tools to keep the service working reliably.
- Local storage may keep student session tokens, selected settings, learning drafts, and app state on the device.
- Cloudflare may provide hosting, security, traffic protection, and Turnstile checks used to reduce automated abuse.
- Apple may process App Store transactions and Apple push-notification delivery data. Google Identity Services may process parent sign-in information if Google sign-in is offered and selected. Stripe may process website billing information. Contracted email-delivery and infrastructure providers may process the limited account and technical information needed to deliver those services.
How we share information
Little Elephant Inc. does not sell student personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or make it publicly available. We disclose information only as needed to operate Parrivo, comply with law, or protect the service.
- Service providers may process data for hosting, authentication, App Store or website payments, email and support, security, monitoring, and service reliability. They may use the information only to perform contracted services for Parrivo.
- Little Elephant Inc. requires service providers that receive Parrivo user data to apply the same or equivalent privacy, confidentiality, security, retention, and deletion protections described in this policy and required by applicable law.
- Parrivo does not permit third-party advertising or third-party behavioral analytics in the child learning experience.
- We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users, Parrivo, or the public.
- We do not use Google sign-in data for advertising and do not transfer it for unrelated third-party marketing.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and learning information.
- Parent account details and private learning records are kept while the account is active. When an account is deleted, Parrivo deletes or de-identifies those records without undue delay, except for records that must be retained for billing, fraud prevention, security incidents, legal claims, or other legal obligations.
- Active sessions expire or are revoked according to the account's security settings. Routine application logs are rotated, and security or support records are retained only for the period needed to investigate and resolve the applicable event.
- Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten through the normal backup cycle. Billing and transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax, accounting, payment, and fraud-prevention laws.
- Parrivo reviews retained child information and deletes or de-identifies it when the specific service, security, support, billing, or legal purpose no longer applies; child information is not retained indefinitely.
- No online service can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected unauthorized access to admin@parrivo.com.
Parent notice and consent
The parent or legal guardian reviews the notice and records consent during account creation. The account is available immediately after it is created; opening an email or verifying the email address is not an account-activation step.
- The account-creation screen links to this policy and the Terms of Service and records the guardian confirmation time and accepted policy versions.
- After registration, Parrivo sends the email owner a notice with the student username. If the account was authorized, no action is required.
- If the account was not authorized, the email owner may contact admin@parrivo.com to report it, secure the account, and request removal of the email association.
- Optional email verification confirms control of the contact email for account security. It does not start a trial or control learning, subscription purchase, purchase restoration, or paid access.
Your choices and requests
Parents, guardians, and account holders can contact Little Elephant Inc. about Parrivo account information and student learning records.
- Use Profile > Delete Account in the Parrivo app to delete the account and private learning data, or email admin@parrivo.com to request access, correction, deletion, account closure, Google sign-in unlinking, consent withdrawal, or subscription-related privacy help.
- Include the account email and enough detail for us to verify the request before making account changes.
- After Parrivo appropriately verifies the requester's authority, a parent or guardian may review the child's information, refuse further collection or use, withdraw consent, and request deletion. Withdrawing consent may require Parrivo to close the learning account when the information is necessary to provide the service.
- Some records may be retained only where required for billing, security, legal compliance, temporary backups, or another documented legal obligation.
Policy updates
Little Elephant Inc. may update this policy as Parrivo changes, including when we add account, billing, learning, or security features.
- The updated date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
- Material changes are communicated directly to the parent account by email or in-product notice before the changed practice takes effect.
- When a material change affects the collection, use, or disclosure of children's information covered by an earlier consent, Parrivo will obtain new verifiable parent or guardian consent before applying that change to the child's information.
